Out of Context is an ensemble that plays adventurous new music at the highest level. What began as an oboe/piano duo in 2006 has expanded into a dynamic chamber ensemble of flexible instrumentation. Presenting concerts and workshops across the country, Out of Context brings out the passion, elegance, wit and drama of contemporary works. Our core belief is that programming should be innovative and exciting. Crazy tempos, improbable rhythms and wild harmonies – they are all fair game. Few ensembles would attempt to tackle such demanding music, but we show no fear!
